Sue Graves & Hector Gilchrist
Sue Grave & Hector Gilchrist @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2016

On their last visit they made a huge impression.  Sue has a clear, expressive voice and has often been referred to as the ‘Surrey Nightingale’.  She has the knack of choosing songs that just ‘click’ with the audience, accompanying herself most tastefully with fingerstyle guitar.
Hector is one of Scotland’s finest singers, equally at home with a traditional ballad, contemporary songs (with his own guitar accompaniment) or jazz crooners.

Frank McConnell
Frank McConnell @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2014

Frank McConnell is a veteran local performer who plays tasty instrumentals and sings self penned songs. A couple of Frank's songs have been used in films.  The first was issued in 2015 to a French company making a feature film about a man called Michael who wants to disappear...

The second was issued in 2016 to the US company Fox for their crime drama Bones and is used in the Finale for series X! and occasional requests especially from the USA for copyright permissions.

Supporting Frank tonight : Morrigan, one of our excellent guests from last year 2016.
