Phoenix
Due to bad weather, Phoenix will not be appearing at the
club Tonight.
Because of the extra snow last night and during the day we have decided not hold a singers night. If anyone wishes still to brave the cold then I'm sure the Change of Horses would make you welcome.
Best wishes to all and see you next week for another in the very popular series of
"Singers nights".
Please return to this page for any last minute changes.
Steve.
Phoenix is Davey Slater on guitar and Krista Uphill on fiddle. They joined forces after meeting on the Broadstairs circuit and
have been performing together for ten years or so.
DADGAD exponent Davey, provides the powerful singing and dynamic guitar
work in his accompaniments, while Krista contributes lively instrumentals
- in the Irish style - and backing vocals.

No Worries
No Worries are Brian and Marion Rodgers. Brian began
playing guitar in folk bands in the 60’s and made his first album
in 1974. He got together with Marion in 2000. Marion’s harmonies
and bodhran complement Brian’s 6 and 12 string guitar arrangements.
No Worries are also delighted to transform into "The Bardettes" to provide
support for our good friend John Barden

Ian Petrie Band
Ian, Steve Shorey, Ted Handley and Vince Herbert provide the
music for our (nearly) end of year celebration. Ian has one of the best voices around and has been a leading mainstay
of the local folk scene for over 30 years. Their mixture of folk and light rock

interspersed with instrumentals is guaranteed to suite
all tastes.
