Kirsty McGee

Honeysuckle Fellside FECDI70

Kirsty is a singer songwriter playing guitar and flute. In 2000 she won The NorthWest Songwriting Competition that led to appearances at several festivals. Last year she played The Purcell Room and Sidmouth and she is already booked for Warwick and Towersey.
On this, her debut CD, she is given instrumental support by Clive Gregson, Boo Hewerdine, Neill MacCoil, Jo Hamilton, Martin Hughes and Geth Griffith. They provide a light laid back almost jazzy accompaniment, which complements her light breathy voice.
She sings about relationships and the songs have an intensity that demands careful listening, often reminiscent of Susanne Vega, so no rabble-rousers!
The lyrics are provided on the insert booklet.
