Eliza Carthy& Nancy Kerr

On reflection MRCD1003

This is a collection of material from the CDs Eliza Carthy and Nancy Kerr, The
Shape of Scrape, Steely Water, Scalene plus two unreleased tracks.

Most of the tracks are instrumental and heavily feature their traditional style fiddle
playing. The fiddle is even used to accompany songs (for Instance on
Whittingham Fair, a variant on Scarborough Fair). There is though the odd
unaccompanied song for instance the duet Bushes and Briars.

All of this material is old and some of it dates back to 1993. For that reason I
suppose it will have limited appeal, but if you’re a fiddle aficionado then you’ll find it
interesting.
